Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

 Prompt Response: A metaphor that I would use to describe my mind is the computer because sometimes i will be working and sometimes i would be lagging and taking my time with things that I do. Summary: Today in class we read two Emily Dickson poems and created a heart to show logic and emotion. Reflection: I learned how to find different themes for poems and annotate them to understand them.

What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

 Prompt Response: The most creative thing I've ever made was a design I made on my friends shoes for their birthday. I made a dripping  design on it to look like the colors were dripping off the shoe. It stands out to me because I didn't know I could make something like that look good and neat especially for my first time doing it. Summary: Today in class we started making our digital posters for our origin myths. Reflection: I learned how to access Adobe Express to make digital posters and different designs on them. 

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

 Prompt Response: 2 of my burning questions that I have about life are what is the meaning of life and what makes it satisfying. These questions matter to me because it allows me to explore more in the world and try new things that are interesting to me or others. Summary: Today in class we worked on creating our own origin myths. Reflection: I leaned how to create an origin myth by planning out what's going to happen in the story, how the conflict starts and how the solution of the story is going to take place.

Describe a time you felt completely lost.

 Prompt Response: A time where I felt completely lost was when me and my closet friend stopped talking to each other because as we grew up we started to grow apart from each other and disagreed with a lot of the things we would say to each other, which turned into more arguments than we would usually have, after one of the arguments we started to realize that we should stop talking to each other since every conversation was a fight about something. Once weeks passed, It felt like loosing a sister after our argument, It felt like i didn't have anyone else to laugh with when i'm at school or at home. Summary: Today in class we presented our "Jealous Father" presentations. Reflection: I learned how to include different details and important facts into my PowerPoint.

  Prompt Response: I've adapted to the demands of this course by staying on top of what needs to be done each day. One of my strengths is organizing my notes, designing presentations and identifying key details in a story. My challenges are group work and talking quiz's based on a story.  Summary: Today in class we took an assessment on origin myths, went over question's that were incorrect and discussing them. Reflection: I learned how to identify the right answer to a question on any quiz that I take.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

 Prompt Response: A real-life situation where jealousy negatively affected a relationship was when my friend was jealous about how I live life outside of school and the attention I would get from some people when we hang out with each other. Summary: Today in class we worked in groups and tried to identify different things in the story " The Jealous Father". Reflection: I learned how to break down the moral message of a story and break down sentences in a PowerPoint so that they're not too long for a slide.

Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

  Prompt Response:  A meaningful object or place in my life that carries a story are some of my necklaces because they've been passed on from generation to generation and it's important for me to hold on to them. Summary:  Today in class we read a story called "Navajo Creation". Reflection:  Something that I learned from today's lesson was that stories pertain to a lot of old mythical stories.

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt Response:  A time that I felt connected to nature was when I went on a walk with my aunt and we would explore the different things we would see around us and get history about some of the things we see. Summary: A summary of things I did in class today were taking notes on the Intro to American Lit on Native American Literature and learning new vocabulary words. Reflection: A reflection on what I learned today is that there are different things that are prevalent to themes.
