Write about a fear you have overcome.

Prompt Response: A fear that I've overcome was meeting new people because before going into middle school and high school, I didn't know how to get to know new people because I didn't know if they were either going to be rude or nice, so I won't get embarrassed, I just let people come up to me and let them ask if they wanted to be my friend. I still do this till this day, but not as often compared to when I did it in elementary school.


Summary: Today in class we worked on identifying a claim in a text, the type of claim and writing an opposing claim after.


Reflection: I learned how to identify what type of claim is used in a text and how to make up an opposing claim off the original claim.

  Prompt Response:  A meaningful object or place in my life that carries a story are some of my necklaces because they've been passed on from generation to generation and it's important for me to hold on to them. Summary:  Today in class we read a story called "Navajo Creation". Reflection:  Something that I learned from today's lesson was that stories pertain to a lot of old mythical stories.

 Prompt Response: A real-life situation where jealousy negatively affected a relationship was when my friend was jealous about how I live life outside of school and the attention I would get from some people when we hang out with each other. Summary: Today in class we worked in groups and tried to identify different things in the story " The Jealous Father". Reflection: I learned how to break down the moral message of a story and break down sentences in a PowerPoint so that they're not too long for a slide.
