You are currently working on a soundtrack for selected Emily Dickinson poems. With that in mind, if asked to choose a song to describe your life right now, which song would you select and why?

Prompt Response: If asked to choose a song that describes my life, I would choose "Brain" by Mariah the Scientist because it talks about the overwhelming internal struggles of dealing with mental issues and showcasing feelings of insecurity, escapism, and the intrusive nature of one's own thoughts. Over the years I've learned how to take my time with things and organize what needs to be done or things that I've finished and relaxing my mind so I wont be so stressed out over certain tasks that I need to do.

Summary: Today in class we took a Emily Dickinson test and finished our Emily Dickinson quotes assignment.

Reflection: I learned how to use the process of elimination when taking a test and that a slant rhyme are words that share similar sound but aren't exactly perfect rhyming words.

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Summary: A summary of things I did in class today were taking notes on the Intro to American Lit on Native American Literature and learning new vocabulary words. Reflection: A reflection on what I learned today is that there are different things that are prevalent to themes.

Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

Prompt Response:  A meaningful object or place in my life that carries a story are some of my necklaces because they've been passed on from generation to generation and it's important for me to hold on to them. Summary:  Today in class we read a story called "Navajo Creation". Reflection:  Something that I learned from today's lesson was that stories pertain to a lot of old mythical stories.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

Prompt Response: A real-life situation where jealousy negatively affected a relationship was when my friend was jealous about how I live life outside of school and the attention I would get from some people when we hang out with each other. Summary: Today in class we worked in groups and tried to identify different things in the story " The Jealous Father". Reflection: I learned how to break down the moral message of a story and break down sentences in a PowerPoint so that they're not too long for a slide.
