 Prompt Response:

I'm most proud of how my cultural identity values family and community. It has taught me to support the people around me and stay connected to my traditions. This part of who I am makes me feel grounded and reminds me where I came from.


Summary:

Today in class we read the poem "I, Too," analyzed it and brainstormed facts about ourselves that makes us who we are and applied it to a mask.


Reflection:

I learned how to dive deep into a poem and understand the symbolism in the poem.

 Prompt Response: A real-life situation where jealousy negatively affected a relationship was when my friend was jealous about how I live life outside of school and the attention I would get from some people when we hang out with each other. Summary: Today in class we worked in groups and tried to identify different things in the story " The Jealous Father". Reflection: I learned how to break down the moral message of a story and break down sentences in a PowerPoint so that they're not too long for a slide.
